What is your "Social Attitude"? Here's a test to find out

So it seems the difference is in the infrastructure in place, like the types of available jobs, the quality of education, etc. If these things aren't strong then you say socialism can't work. What do you think about the possibility of a poor nation setting up an ambitious structure from the get-go instead of just socializing the junk they already have? What about something like the CCC or the WPA in America in the 30s for instance? Could a country pay people to go build better sewer pipes and roads to collectively improve their country, thereby creating a better reality?

First of all, India in the 50s was significantly more poor than Depression-era America. So let's not use that as a comparison. Nations/regions mired in extreme poverty tend to develop a very high level of corruption and lots of "back channel" commerce. All socialism does is pour more money into a cesspool which then gets squandered and makes the political/military elite wealthier.

Capitalism, at least so far, has done what socialism never was able to do - create a new middle/upper middle class of people who were previously stuck in the lower middle class or the rural poor.

There will come a point though, when socialism will actually make sense. India's not there yet, neither is China.

I just think you made an interesting claim and wanted to work through it in a hypothetical situation. You say socialism only keeps poor countries poor, and I am just wondering out loud, about that theory...

How has capitalism influenced corruption? Don't you think corruption could be stopped with decent police, even in a socialist environment?

Capitalism in India does an end-run around corrupt institutions like the police.

We need more people to become marked by "the test."

Radicalism 83 Socialism 25 Tenderness 37.5

These scores indicate that you are a tough-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a liberated atheist. It appears that you are cynical towards religion, and have a suspicious and unsympathetic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear capitalist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as libertarian.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a centrist with few strong opinions.

Suspicious, perhaps. Unsympathetic? Nawwwwww.

I think the questionnaire needs about 20-30 more questions to it to be more accurate. My socialism score should be higher than that but no questions were really asked that would trigger it.

It's for sure an oddity. Nearly always the burden of proof is on the believer. Example, Sasquatch, Loch Ness, aliens, etc.

This one, the burden of proof is on the person who doesn't believe in something that has never been seen.

Never looked at it that way, but you're right. Only instance I can think of where you're required to disprove a fairy tale.
