do i need to complete DS-160 before I can schedule an interview for K1?

my petition was just sent from NVC to the Guagzhou China embassy. I have my case # and would like to get a head-start on the paperwork. Do I need to fill out DS-160 before I can schedule a K1 fiance interview? Or do I just need to fill out DS-156 and DS156k? any help is appreciated. Thanks.
