Ive called the cosulate regarding my fiancee's interview date a few times and I keep getting, 'call back in late December.' Maybe they have reached their 2006 quota. I have a feeling interviews will be given like crazy in January and February, just before Tet.

There is not supposed to be a quota on K-1 visas, at least that is what I have heard. Have you recieved info to the contrary?

You know, I'm not too sure if there is or isnt quotas, but I do know a couple of things that I heard through the grapevine a while back. I heard that it's easier to get approved before new years, late Decemberish, which leads me to believe that is only if they have extra Visa's to issue. I also heard somewhere from someone, sometime, that they did have a certain number of Visa's that the US was limited to accept each year, in order to help with overpopulation problems. Again, I could be wrong. Anyone hear the same things?

Quota? I wasn't aware of a quota on K-1 Visas.

The interview date will be late at least 2 weeks as they will go on vacation for the Christmas and New Year, then Lunar New Year. Just try to sleep well to wait until that day.
