Any Packet 4s in for the VN community yet? I know there are a bunch of us pretty close inline with one another. I feel a track race coming on. Should we all take bets? Maybe I should put together a poll with those members names and then everyone pick who is most likely to be the first.

Ahh hell...I am bored.

Correct. Tet Nguyen Dan moves around between Jan.-Feb. of the new year. For 2007 the Tet holiday begins on Feb. 17th.

Updated our status:

We sent email to HCM consulate at day 45 after package 3 to ask the update of package 4 but no feedback from them yet.

Then we called (both petitioner and alien beneficiary) them ( nice to petitioner and rude to beneficiary) and got the same result: No job done for our case since received package 3 on 17 Oct 2006 yet. The earliest update will conduct after 2 months. We have to wait from 2 to 4 months for interview.

Wonder why they need to long to work for package 4? over visa quota for 2006?

2-4 months is their canned answer to everything. Don't let it discourage you. Read others timelines (that is what I do) and do a mental average between packets to give yourself a good estimate on how long it should take.

Ive called the cosulate regarding my fiancee's interview date a few times and I keep getting, 'call back in late December.' Maybe they have reached their 2006 quota. I have a feeling interviews will be given like crazy in January and February, just before Tet.
