I-130 approved; filed in July and took only a month

Hi Everyone, first time posting here, long time lurker. Seeing that so many here are so helpful and kind, decided to create an account and start posting so I could be of use or other people.

I'm currently a green card holder petitioning for my wife. My wife is from Japan and our daughter was born in the US.

Anyhow - I was surprised to see how quickly the I-130 was approved. Onto NVC for me and I've found a handful of useful resources here that I'll have to study, over the weekend.

Just to confirm I have the correct understanding, my next steps are..

1) call USCIS for a case number with the NVC

2) prepare a bunch of docs and pay fees

3) interview will be scheduled locally (Tokyo embassy I presume) & after a successful one,

4) finally receiving the msg "Welcome to the USA"

Any help or insight to correct this / ways to expedite process would be very much appreciated (or not).

if your case already in NVC stage, call them every 2 weeks until you get your number, then you go a head and pay your AOS, and IV fee from this site https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== ::::::: the interview is in Japan embassy, during the interview date, she will need to bring all your documents package, which mean, I130, AOS, and IV, along with all chat logs, phone call logs, video call, etc., your kid birth certificate, and few photos of you too, and family, friends and your kid....
