arrested and previously married now recieved a letter to show up for a 751 interview...

Hi to make an extremly long and complicated short, I cam to this country in 1999 as a visa, I then overstayed and 1 year after I was married we filed for adjustment of status and all other forms. as my case was pending I was arrested and convicted 30 days in jail for a misdeminor.

in 2004 I then met my wife, we dated and eas engaged in 2007 and then married in 2012, while I were on my conditional status my wife and I had a fight in the public and some old lady called the police and told them I hit her (not true, I wouldnt never do that), I was arrested 2 days later the DA didnt file any charges since there were no evidence to back that story. Our marriage is veruy stong and we have only been getting stringer and better at being married over the years. I am worried since we filled for the 751, 2 months later I recieved a letter for an interview, as I understand this is extremely rare, I would like to know what others thing about this, why this rare interview?

in my submitted documents I did send a copy from the DA that no charges where filled.

so you were married twice? You don't mention a divorce, when did that happen? If you divorced and re-married soon after that could also cause an interview.

Hi Thanks for the post, the divorce actually was right before our engagement in 2007, but we didnt actually get married until 2012.
