I am marrying my fiancé (I am us citizen) at the age of 17 on the K-1 visa. Our fiancé visa has been approved and they said there would be no problem with this. I asked on here before if I needed to be 18 for my fiancé to File for adjustment of status, and some people said yes because a minor can not legally be a sponsor, but I was wondering, since I will be married and emancipated, will this give me the right to be a sponsor, since I don't new my parents permission for anything anymore? I turn 18 two months after our wedding but we wanted to send off AOS ASAP so my fiancé can work sooner. Any info here is appreciated! Thanks

Page 8 of the I-864 form instructions states that a sponsor must be at least 18 years old > http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864instr.pdf
