The date on the NOA1 is the date they received your petition paperwork. It is not necessarily the date your online status changed or the date of your e-notification, so the date is probably not incorrect.

Once you are given an Alien Registration Number(A#), it is yours for life, the same it works for a social security number in the US. If you had one before, then that A# should have been used on the forms sent with the petition.

Well in that event according to my NOA1 letter my received date would be June 12,2013 and NOA1 notice date June 14,2013.but the transfer notice said receipt date June 13,2013.so that makes me a little confuse.

I did not know that i would assign the same alien registration number that was given in a previous petition of a CR1 filed by my ex-husband (fail marriage) about 3/4 years ago.I thought it would be a different A# being that it's a different petitioner and different immigration benefit/visa.how would they know to give me the same A#? I would assume they must had done some kinda research to know to give me the same number..

A # does change but its for no special reasons, some ppl end up with one for life,

but unlike SS # it can change without cause which could be a new file created, a new

assigned # by an agent dealing with file, It does not affect approvals either.

I guess am just one of those people who get one for a lifetime,I am happy to know that it doesn't affect approval, cause i was a bit worried about it.even though i have nothing to hide and everything is already on record with my previous immigration visa history.

It's a little bit unclear still. Is the A# that you have the same as it was in the previous petition, or is the A# for your fiancee the same as it was for the previous petitioner? Your A# is yours for life like an SSN so you having the same A# is fine and to be expected.

Well let me see if i can make things clear,I am the Beneficiary of a K1 visa (now) and i was previously a beneficiary of a CR1 visa that my ex-husband (the petitioner) Filed 3-4 years ago.My fiance recently receive our Notice of Action Transfer for our I129F,I compare the The Notice of Action transfer letter along with the revocation notice that was sent to my ex-husband.that's the only document i have with the A# from the Cr1 paperwork, and i realize they both had the same A#/Alien Registration Number.I am just confuse as to why i was given the same A# number.it might not mean anything but it just feel weird to me.but i guess like what Jawaree said some people get one for life like a SSN,maybe am just one of those people.

The A# was assigned to you from your previous CR-1. It does not belong to your fiance, as a USC does not have an A#. It did not belong to your ex, as you stated it was given to you for your CR-1 from your previous marriage. I think there was just a little a confusion, but you cleared that up.

The forms you fill out for the I-129F petition ask for an A#, so if you already had one from your previous CR-1, you should have put it for the I-129F petition forms where it asked. It is your A#, assigned to you. You keep the number. Yes, they do checks on those that file and you would have already been in the system from your previous immigration application.

You can have your fiance call, but there is nothing to worry over here.

Well my fiance the "petitioner" is the one who filled out the I129F.I did not know anything about the A# /Alien Registration Number until i started my K1 visa Journey, because previously for the CR1 visa i had an immigration attorney and everything was sent directly to him.so i wouldn't really know anything about the A# until i overal the NOA-T and realize that i saw A# somewhere before and compare to the NOIR.I am just hoping my KNG# is not the same as it was before, that would have been too weird.

On the I-129F form, where it asks for the information of the Alien Fiance(e), it asks for their A#. Your previously assigned A# should have been listed there. Also, on the G-325A that you filled out and signed, it asks for your A# in 2 different places. An A# is not a case number. Your KNG case# will not be the same this time, since it is a new/different case.

well my fiance and i did not know if i had an A#/Alien registration number or not.We don't know what it is.once we had receive our NOA1,we put our receipt number into the uscis website and it said alien registration number change.we do not know what all this mean.so we search the net and VJ and everyone said it happens to them right after the issuance of the NOA1.We did not know what it was,we did not wrote it in the form but USCIS did for us,apparently it doesn't seems like an issue.
