MODERATORS MODERATE TOO MUCH???

Really and you never got a chance to read my post. How would you know?

Aloha Ke Akua

I read it twice - once when I read the email from the Report Forum telling me there was a report, and the second time, when I received the action response report telling me what action was taken by what moderator. Every member of the Moderation Team receives and reads all of the reports and all of the action reports. There is an excellent 'paper trail' so to speak, of every report received, who responded and what they did automatically logged by the software of this site. I can also read it where it was located in the thread - it hasn't been removed, it has been made invisible - as can any other moderator. So, with that in mind, you might wish to reconsider my comment.

Also for your information, the current moderation team includes includes:

Kathryn41 - lead moderator

Penquin_ie - global moderator

Charles! - global moderator

Ontarkie - global moderator

Krikit - global moderator

Nina~ - global moderator

ScottThuy - global moderator

Brad and Vika - global moderator

William33 - global moderator

We also have a good number of Organizers whose sole responsibility is to move posts which are posted in the incorrect forums to the correct - or more appropriate - forum. They do a lot of good work for very little recognition and are an integral part of the Organization team.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

1. None of the three is a VJ moderator.

2. Name all of the moderators who are "power-hungry," with your reasoning (examples, versus mere opinion) as to how they're "power-hungry."

3. If you have to spend your second and third sentences qualifying your first sentence, and end the thought with an "oh, and you're ugly, too"-type sentiment, perhaps the first sentence shouldn't have been posted at all.

4. Indeed. Participation in VJ is voluntary. If you're unhappy, you're free to abandon your participation here in favor of participating somewhere else.

There you go!!! The proof is in the pudding. The three most helpful people on VJ ARE NOT MODERATORS. I had a feeling.....

As a moderator I would expect them to participate and answer some of the questions posed on here and participate in the discussion, personally I have only seem post from Kathryn, Charles, Penguin and on and off from Nina and Kirkit.

I have never seen any from other mods, don’t even know if they are active on the forum or not.

TboneTX,

Your itemized list of items, proves all of our points, with you being rude, which happens so many times here. Your list of

1.

2.

3.

4.

and so on just proves the point,

We all know VJ is the class of the immigration sites, it is why we put up with the moderators that are rude and very opinionated, and a very few, have no tact to their remarks at all! Your ranting's proves the point!

raven52,

1. Providing a fact

2. Asking for elaboration

3. Diplomatically suggesting that temperament counts

4. Providing a fact and an option

Please explain how the above is rude, and cite some of the "so many other times" (5 examples would be solid proof). If your answers are persuasive, I'll readily apologize.

That made more sense than this thread.

I was hoping it would all eventually turn into comedy and so I invested my limited reading time into the new posts.. but I can't make enough sense of the whines to even crack a smile.,. Bad thread - we need a report button for lame content.

You don't seem to like itemized lists? They're not everyone's idea of a good way to lay things out in a simple, easy to read manner, but I'm not sure how it's rude to make things into an itemized list to address concerns?

T-bone is also not a moderator but rather an organizer.

Is there someone else who is a moderator or organizer that you don't like? unsure.png

Most all of the moderators are nice, but a few are "know it all" people and they talk down to us mere mortals, who "do not" know the site as well as people who make it there life to be on here 24/7.,.,.,just looking for something to jump onto.,.,., HELP US.,,. EXPLAIN TO US.,.,., so we can get better at using the site.,,.some are so nice and helpful, like Hank (I know not a moderator), maybe the handful of moderators need to "take a page from Hank's book!

Just look at TBone's post.,.,.,,how would an average person take comments said to them like that.,.,..he is the exact attitude I refer to that a very few moderators have, moderator or not!

We all know that VJ IS King OF THE SITES, WE WILL ADAPT AND ADJUST, WISH MODERATORS WOULD help us more and be less condescending!

I LIKE EVERYONE, JUST A FEW PEOPLE "HAVE A POWER PROBLEM!"

Sorry that I was rude for asking the rude one to explain. An average poster would receive quite a different response.
