Hey I got my naturalization at the end of July and got my passport right away since we were traveling to Europe.

We are in the process of moving out. Which on should i update first: my SSN or my DL (since the DL is needed for the SSN but maybe not with current address)

thanks

PS: coming back to the US with my US passport was AWESOME

Congrats!

I don't think they look for the address for the SSN though. We all got our first SSN with a foreign passport so the address was obviously not valid anymore. (but I don't know... I am at the very begining of my journey still)

Stupid question: why do you have to update your SSN?

Good luck in your visa journey!

The Ss office will update their data and put that you are now a citizen so you can enjoy the full benefits of social security. That's all.

ah ok! Thanks :)

Good luck in your visa journey!

you are welcome, I think they update their address each time with your employer, like if you moved and got a new job you don't really go to social security and update your address lol. I think the employer sends your information to social security and they update their system by themselves. Now the important update will be the SSN status because we are not eligible for SS checks, or SS help since we are not citizens, and to be eligible for that without being a citizen I think you have to have a history of 10 years of work in the US. You overcome that requirement when you become a citizen. I think that's the way the process goes it could be more. Congrats for your naturalization.
