Make sure not to leave a space between the "MOS" and the rest of the case number.

i don't even know (i'm sure we don't have one) what her MOS number is. i tried the WAC number.

in any case... she received her visa several hours ago today. biggrin.png

Now I can finally finish worrying I hope? Got this email from the Consulate

Subject: RE: Case Status

Her visa is approved and should be issued shortly.

Sincerely,

Public Liaison Unit

Consular Section

US Embassy, Moscow

Didn't you just say that yesterday you received an email from the embassy saying it was approved and would be sent in a few days? These automated responses that have you worried are usually wrong or behind the times.

Congratulations! I just checked and we're still in AP but the medical paperwork is supposed to be delivered to the embassy on Monday so hopefully my fiancee will get her visa soon too :-).

lol dial 011 7 (495) 728-5000 speak with a Russian accent, it will help them understand you.....laughing.gif

Or speak LOUD.

Once a woman heard Alla's accent and started speaking VERY LOUD AND SLOWLY (Alla is an English teacher!) She said "I AM UKRAINIAN...NOT DEAF!"

The case is in AP and they will let you kow when it is completed. Nothing much you can do but wait. They will let you know if they need anything.

She received her visa yesterday, but my last name is wrong ugh!

Well, that will certainly be a problem, you should take that to the embassy... (especially if you are travelling with her)

If you don't think it will be a problem, then I suggest you try a game or two of 'Papers, Please!'

Anyway, yea if they take her passport, she's getting the visa. My wife got her visa in 3 days, and that's exactly what I expected and planned for.

As far as the domestic abuse pamphlet, I bet it's just telling her that if she is a victim of domestic abuse, she can be granted permanent resident status (ie not dependent on marriage).

This is the pamphlet:

They gave one to my fiancee in the embassy in Ukrainian.
