I got my noa1 thre first week of august. The email states you can use that number to check the case status. When I try, it says your case cannot be found at this time. I called and they said I have to wait 30-45 days to use the number. But that contradicts the email??? I never read anyone having this issue.

USCIS:

I-130 RECEIVED: 8/2/13

I had that issues for the whole 7 months I waited! There is nothing they can do it just means whoever has your cases didn't update it in the website. If you signed up to receive it by text or email you will once its approved. If not just keep checking the site one day it will say approved. Thats what happen to me and on May 22 if finally said approved after 7 long months.

Many many many people have this issue. Some people never are able to see their cases, some take a few months to show up. Sometimes the online case status never moves either. Don't worry about it too much.

Hey its been about 5 mths since my NOA1 and my case still doesn't show up on the website. I signed up for the email option as far as updates on my case. I was told that there system has a huge delay. What I do is that I call once a month for an update and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer and explain to them the reason i'm calling is because my case does not show up on the website. They usually give me the same blahh blahh blahh info it takes "6-8mths" for an approval but I continue to call every month lol. I was also told that for some reason case numbers begining with MSC are having this issue. Good Luck dancin5hr.gif

The issue really started with the MSC numbers as far as I can tell but then I had an MSC number and couldn't see my file for 2 months. I figure at that time it moved to my local office so it was "touched" and that caused me to see it. Or it's when they did an update to the system and that caused me to be able to see it. I know how frustrating it is not to be able to check the case online. BUt the updates really do do work, I found out about our I-130 petition approval via email at work! I was so excited!
