Remember when I went to the Department of Revenue to fix my SAVE db? Well the check number they gave me at the DMV was working (both of them) on the SAVE website so I made another appt at the DMV. Apparently nothing has been added to my file yet and I have to wait for something in the mail (despite the lady at the DoR office saying I didn't have to!) Major waste of time.... /annoyed

Went to the Denver Aquarium (which is really just a bunch of fish tanks) with the booger. We saw on the website that they had mermaid shows at 11am and 1pm. So we showed up, walked through, fed a stingray (very cool), and asked where the mermaid show was. Well turns out the website is wrong and they only have them at 11am now. Kiddo was like, but I wanted to see them because I have to go back to school in Canada. We thanked the person for their directions and proceeded to walk away. The guy was like, hey wait, how about I give you refund so you can come see them tomorrow? I told him that would be awesome, kiddo was excited and happy so we'll go back tomorrow and see the mermaid show! YAY!

Department of Revenue? I hope, instead, you came back from Canada and hit a USA Customs and Border patrol Office, secondary or deferred inspection office, and chewed the ear off a supervisor to get the SAVE record properly fixed.

If you went to Department of Revenue - well, that's a Canadien Office, and I not know they cared about or even had access to SAVE there?

I looked online. Amazon has them 15 bucks for 6.

I went to the Walgreens across the street. They're 9.99 each.....

Department of Revenue is the State Department in control of the Division of Motor Vehicles in Colorado and where they do the adjustments to SAVE. http://www.colorado.gov/revenue

I'm not in Canada... I don't plan on making a trip back there until maybe next year sometime.

Should this not be fixed by the end of Sept, I'll be making the trip to DIA to get it fixed. I'm trying to give them the time to do their job since it's not a rush atm. Funny how my immigration journey went so well, including getting my green card. Now it just seems to be mucking up. It's a little silly but maybe it's karma?

Nope, I enjoyed just feeding it because it was hungry. It felt really cool. Kiddo said it was like jelly only not sticky.

That's terrible nik....for tiff, getting her DL if I recall......was just a matter of walking into DMV and presenting GC, and SS card.

I did! Ugh then I got the SAVE verify case numbers. They both came back okay. I went to the DMV again (have to go to a "special DL version" here... /head meet wall) after both of those showed they were good. But nothing is fixed on their special DMV file so I have to wait for the friggin letter in the mail

Reminds me... time to check the mail!

Smells suspiciously like a batch system, and this office is a subscriber to SAVE db. Subscribers get a weekly update but

it's just as easy for a human in that office to log in and verify you on the SAVE system, in real time. SSA office does it all the time.

I hope yer not in the throes of a training session with that office or their staff. and yes, I was being a bit snarky about office names. My bad. I offer T-Bone up for overnight spankings (since he'll be almost asleep when he logs in again) .
