So I've been looking for a job for 2 weeks now and It's already starting to drive me crazy. I've gotten one interview so far, thanks to a contact I have at a consulting firm, but I've heard nothing from the 20+ online applications I've filled in online so far.. most of which I fulfilled all the requirements for :/

getting hired is a weird thing - best to start making new acquaintances through the local chamber of commerce in the city where you live. heck - i even recommend volunteering at some events - business owners and salespeople always attend - so you'll be talking to the folk that usually hire staff.

This would be fabulous for me to report to Mrs. T-B. in "see, I told you so" fashion, except it was the last post on a page and I didn't read it, sigh man.

A man sat down to compose an order to his butcher for some Christmas geese. He began:

"Dear Mr. Butcher: Please send me my Christmas gooses."

Finally, he started all over. This is what he wrote:

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

My million dolla idea of the day....

I invent a new soft drink. Named " Curry Cola"

Market it in various curry countries. I make 1 million dollas!

You missed it by a double consonant, sigh man. It's "Cuy Cola," and it's my idea, along with pork-flavored ice cream, slurp man. That will be a hunnafiddy, $i man.

So I was near supper on day 2 of our juice fast yesterday and I needed to feed the cat. Not sure what flavour her food was but it actually smelled edible.

Reminded me of this canned sandwich meat spread my mum would feed us when I was small. The cans were small (like fancy feast) and they had different flavours like deviled ham and such.

We were all craving not so healthy food yesterday. Hubby was very tempted by the food samples while we were out shopping.

I wonder where hikergirl is, unless she's posting the last posts on a page, no si man...

#######... no one will read my hunnafiddy-$ idea, no man... last post on page...
