I don't want to start a religious war...

Have any one of you seen people do this sort of thing? Up one side and down the other, kick em in the nuts and say "God bless you" and then move on like it's cool.

You can't say whatever vile, stupid, sputum you like to someone and end it with "God bless you". You can't berate, belittle and misbehave and then free you mind of guilt by rolling your holly dice. You can't; but you still do.

I see it all the time. Some of the worst people out there are holy rolling religious folks. They think it gives them the moral right to judge all others, then make it ok by saying something like God Bless, or for those that are not religious, Its only my opinion.

Uhm - you need to make your own group of Chinese Aunties, have them over on the weekends for cooking bacchanalias.

Over time, your wife might relax a bit, as she'll see how yer interacting with a krewe of Aunties and might possibly decide to join in.

Till then, though, you've a captive audience, right there in yer kitchen. Bonus points for making a high-heat, outdoor propane cooking ring for the 1.5 meter wok.
