A little stressful sometimes. A new lady was hired. Team fail big time tbh. I've been there a month and I was training her. People are in pissy moods. I spoke to my TL about it all, and just mentioned I was stressed about it. He assured me I was diong a good job, said he noticed the other team members actions, and apologized for letting the duty fall to me.

Really it was all on top of the fact that i'm 15 days late, 2 negative pg tests (and I'm fixed,) but i'm still worried. I don't have insurance and can't go to a dr like I would in Canada. :(

Hubs got his VA bill though so he bought me a brand new computer. It made me cry. I've never had a brand new computer before. New parts yes, but new comp no. He didn't buy anything for himself. I love him so much for it. The act of it, even if it hadn't been a great computer, just shows he feels I'm important. But he gets the VA money and first thing he does is think about me. :D

I'm sorry to hear that, but I do hope all will be well shortly. Does your insurance not cover a well visit or a physical? What do you have? Don't be afraid to go if you think it's worth going!

And what a wonderful thing to do! That's really so sweet :) You're a lucky lady to have him in your life!

The nerd in me must ask- what kind of computer did you get?!

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Man I must be the only schmuck in North America that married a woman from Asia who doesn't cook......

You should make her Auntie cook each evening at your house.

Oh wait. this is Auntie's night off, right ? :(

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I don't have any insurance until at least November when the time period opens when we can have me added.

We got an asrock extreme 4 mobo, 4th gen intel i5-4670 processor, gigabyte geforce 770 vid card, 8g of ballistix ddr3 ram, and a samsung 840 EVO 250g sata drive (I have 2 optical drives and a 2tb external), corsair tx750m psu all inside a cooler master case. Oh and two new 24 AOC monitors. YAY dual!

I like hubs keyboard and he bought one off ebay or amazon for cheap that he likes.

I had a complete physical done before my medical in Montreal and there was no issues at the time. But I know full well that something can pop up between because my mom gets yearly paps but between those she suddenly had some issues and had a partial hysterectomy. Hubs thinks its just stress. Getting a new job, worrying about that, worrying about buying a car, and getting to see my daughter again.

I'll be honest, I HATE that time of the month so maybe I should be happy it decided to take a leave of absence.

English-only outside the regional forums, oj tak.

Busy weekend, gee man. Friday after work, went to usual awful Vietnamese barbershop, took one look -- 10 customers waiting, 2 barberettes, including the one who understands zero English -- uttered an expletive, and drove up the block to the $10 place. Walked in and was the only of my race there. Was welcomed, soon chaired, and given the best doggoned cut that I've had in 5+ years, whee man. Will blow off the Vietnamese place in favor of this one, si man.

Went to bed just before 11p on Fri. night -- an all-time record during adulthood, wow man. Arose at o'dark-thirty, got Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. into the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile and on the road at 8:18a (also an all-time record), drove 45 miles, and hit about 8 garage sales, whee man. Mrs. T-B. found the most stuff and seemed very well pleased, and we found some playground equipment for the surprisingly good-mooded Mini-B. to romp on, wee man.

At noon, met up with appliance-warehouse guy who had the KitchenAid glass cooktop. He was as accommodating in person as by phone and had his guys load the cooktop into the by-now-packed trunk of the Mrs. T-B.-mobile. This cooktop model was discontinued in 2012 after having been in production since 2005, so no quality problems can be expected. Of the few available on-line now, the cheapest that I saw it for was $795, ouch man, and we got it for $300, whee man. We were too tired to try to install it after we got home, zzz man. I mowed the lawn -- avoiding bites from mosquitoes and hormigas del fuego (fire ants) for the first time in recent memory -- and ran four outside errands, which left me a physical wreck, ufff man.

On Sunday, a neighbor came to help us install it after the normally-very-handy Mrs. T-B. got stumped. He ended up digging out the old connector from plaster, then used his circular saw to widen the countertop opening to enable the new one to fit. It fired up just fine, sizzle man. The detritus from the sawing covered everything in the kitchen with a visible layer of dust that extended into the den, ouch man. I was busy serving dually as Household Laundress (progressing through 6 loads) and as He Who Tries to Keep a Petulant Mini-B. from Interfering with Mommy and Neighbor during the Installation Process, man. Managed to carry the clean laundry through the garage and into the front door to avoid dust-attacks, shrewd man.

After I, Mini-B., and the cat had naps (during which time Mrs. T-B. was de-dusting everything), Mrs. T-B. cooked dinner and loved the cooktop. We then went to Big Lots and dropped $170 at their quarterly 20%-off gig. We had discovered that the construction dust had thoroughly penetrated two of our silverware drawers, so a dish load of chiefly that is being run now, ufff man.

Mini-B. is purportedly asleep, finally, and Mrs. T-B. just invited me to put her in bed. This I will do efficiently and quickly, to enable a return to VJ business, si man.

Mini-B. was having a nightmare about his trains -- we could almost make sense of it. He then squirmed and woke up, so Mrs. T-B. is occupied in getting him back to sleep, wee man.

Shall off-log for the usual: dishwarsher, cat-ministry, bed prep. Addendum: As with our old dishwarsher, the old cooktop vanished from the curb within a couple of hours of its having been put there, si u man -- enterprising scavengers looking for repairable items or fodder for scrap metal.
