Hiker Good Luck with the new job !


I have been so tired lately that I've gotten to drinking more coffee.

Problem is, I know nothing about coffee so when I make it and it tastes like sht, idk what to do to fix it.

oh YES my new mouse will be here today.

The one I've been using since I bought my computer 3 years ago broke yesterday.

Just up and decided not to work.

Thank god I figured out the problem before I decided to restart the computer because I was 15% of the way in uploading a 1.6gig file with 4 hours left to go >=[

Mine crapped out yesterday too, but I guess I smashed it around enough that it started working again. Will probably need a new one soon. What did you get?

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Hiker, new jobs are hell. You've achieved more in your life than most new hires have, so you'll do fine, si ma'am.

Will know this afternoon whether the Mexican appliance place has a cooktop for me to look at. If so, will leave work early to inspect it. In addition, will almost certainly visit the peluqueria (barber shop) half a block away. I miss Mexico itself, sigh man, but the neighborhood will certainly be an acceptable substitute if there's an actual peluqueria there, si hombre.

Presuming unacceptability of cooktop or no success with same, will do a local road-trip to get the new one tomorrow, as stated. Forgot to mention that I made a map of several garage sales, including some community ones (all a-clustered).

Q.: Didn't General Cluster get clobbered by the Indians at Little Foghorn Leghorn, huh man?

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

hey ! stick to instant coffee until you get the hang of it. coffee in USA is waaaaaaaaaaay different .

you want to use a french press ? or just a coffee machine?

hello all,

thought I will stop by to let you all know that we got married on the 13th of September, friday. Not that anyone cares or remembers me but hey, i feel like sharing so there you go.

Had an interview for a job a week ago or ....was supposed to have one but they never came to skype (A&F) not sure why and never responded to my email afterwards. I waited an hour...that is enough no ? Sigh.

Made a chocolate cheesecake. My husband's parents got a new dog - pomeranian - she poops everywhere and starts her barking ritual at 5am.

Went to a dentist here, told me I will need to shell out 3k for the repairs of my stress grinding and other stuff. Fun times.

They cleaned my teeth well for 350, gotta say....

Also, never saw a fish weigh more than 12 pounds and thats a lot in my mind. Wow. Grats.
