Having again refused to consider evidence that had been brought to the interview, the CO at the consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador had yet another innocent visa applicant by the collar and belt, and was preparing to heave him physically from the premises as a "fraud," when they tripped over a bottle, out of which popped a genie. The genie said, "Because it is obvious that you are mortal enemies, I will grant ONE of you ONE wish, and the other will automatically receive DOUBLE of what the first has wished for." The applicant immediately said, "I wish to be half-dead!"

Well, scintillating though it has been, I must replay last night's thrilling saga of emptying the dishwarsher (si man, two consecutive nights), ministering to cat (who spent much of this eve on our lap), and readying self for bed and actually going there, zzz man. May be a big Friday if Mexican appliance place comes through with a used cooktop to go see. Saturday, will take brood (minus cat) all the way across town to inspect another, unless Friday's is too cheap to pass up, $i man.

My sister told me the offices are closed so we can't get my husband one.

Not that we've OBVIOUSLY made that a priority anyway lol

She texts me 'Soc Sec offices are closed, now we can't go'

First day of work today.

I’m a little nervous as I’m not quite sure what to expect.

I’ll find out more about my hours, benefits, etc I imagine. Should have asked more questions but they all come to me in the middle of the night.

On a happy note: Hubby went to Starbucks and brought me back a coffee. Yay!
