It's all my grandma's fault! biggrin.png

If they stayed in Germany after the war (my grandpa wanted, but my grandma didn't), I'd have been from Germany laughing.gif

(Did I use the right past tense here? I always have problems with the past tenses in English...)

Well that's not very nice, blaming you Grandmother for being so Polish. If a Pole moves to Germany, aren't they and their offspring still Poles?

But why is your grandparents moving to Poland making you tense?

I have an HP at home. It was a toss up between that and a Canon. If I was a pro-photographer I'd get a Canon or epsom and pay out the nose for ink but sell oodles of pictures. But no one wants my pictures so I bought a cheapo HP. But ya know what? It does the JOB! :D

Ya know the funny part is, I don't really LIKE shopping.

My wife didn't like shopping when she was in her country. I found out the reason why now, she didn't have any money then. Turns out it was shopping without money to buy that she didn't like. Now that she has money to buy things, she loves shopping.

That's OK Asia, I've figured in flying you over to the Philippines to help get the GRO's packed into containers for ship transfer to the states.

Speaking of which, Steve has gotten pretty quiet since the investment part of his million dollar plan has come up.

Sure I would still be Polish, but I would be half German as well.

And then Steve wouldn't make fun of me being from Poland biggrin.png

It doesn't make me tense.

They were Polish, they lived in Poland before the war, and they came back to Poland after the war.

Tho they had a chance to stay there but they didn't take it.

And that's okay. it's not like I'm angry at them or something like that.

There's been a lot of joking inside my family about what would happen if our grandparents have stayed in Germany.

Probably we wouldn't be here, but they would have lived a better life, of that I'm sure.

LOL laughing.gif Thanks, Cary!

Tho I don't know if I'm the right person to do that. After all I have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general according to the "Social Attitude" test I took :D

I think he's reconsidering his plan biggrin.png

We make fun of Poles here, even though they are many generations removed from having lived in Poland. So we'd still make fun of you being Polish, even if you're in Germany. content.gif

As to a better life if you grandparents had stayed, I think that would have depended on which side of the wall they lived on in Germany. Count your blessings, you might be very lucky to be in Poland today, and Poland is part of the EU, so can't you pretty much move anywhere there now?

The think those guest relations officers are focusing on the wrong type of relations for the business model Steve envisioned.

1) Yeah, you're right.

2) They were sent to west Germany, near Munich. And they would have stayed there.

Sure, I'm lucky to be born in Poland. And believe me, I'm very aware of that biggrin.png

I could be born in Belarus, which is right across our east border, and that would be much worse!

Sorry dude. Last post. Not read.

You better get a stand-out characteristic soon so we can coin you with a nickname, or were throwing you out....

To avoid last-post syndrome for the third time:

In fact, you could probably coin me as Anon or something.

"What's yours is mine!"

An hour?

Bucks, day. Plus stock options.

Steve can you please forward $20,000 for expenses in the trip to recruit the traveling companions?

I'm sure those dots in the A hunnit fiddy..... were thousands.

I shall need shadow financing....must meet with the skipper.....

why not just get exact replacement printer in the refurb marketplace? comes with warranty, and should be 40 to 60 percent of the new list price.

That's just dead easy.

The model is obsolete and difficult to get toner, which is why I'm replacing it.

And on the topic of nicknames, Steve.. just find one. :P

Give us time. We have to further access your weaknesses......so we can pray on them....

Ya know the funny part is, I don't really LIKE shopping.

Too bad. Who told you to be the retail expert huh?

I knew you didn't want me to immigrate to America!

No job for me in that company of yours!

Learn Japanese and you can be the translator. Learn Arab and go recruit rich Taliban geysers.

My wife didn't like shopping when she was in her country. I found out the reason why now, she didn't have any money then. Turns out it was shopping without money to buy that she didn't like. Now that she has money to buy things, she loves shopping.

Tiff and mrs Cary would get along great.

And some of us have to work around here. I was busy.....
