Neither-nor, no man. Took him to Burnet for "A Day Out with Thomas" (the Tank Engine). Mini-B. was not happy. In retrospect, but completely unknown to us at the time, we should have skipped buying the rip-off train tickets and simply attended the activities on the grounds for free. At any rate, we got to see a little scenery on the road, and Mini-B. was completely happy after we got home, however.

Kudos to the state-of-the-art McDonald's in Rockdale for having a great and strategically designed indoor play-area, si man.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Sorry to hear he did not completely enjoy his trip to see Thomas the Tank Engine. Sometimes our parents take us places as kids but we cannot fully appreciate it at the time. There are places I am interested in visiting now as an adult because I did not 'take it all in' and understand I was lucky for getting to be there. Youth is definitely wasted on the young. Hmm, and naps. I want naps. I will definitely appreciate those now. yes.gif
