Sorry been busy with work and lack of sleep and lord have no clue whats happening here but have a question and really don't want to post.

Okay here is the situation a friend of mine got married march 2012. They were K1. They filed AOS August 2012. Two RFE's and a log jam later It's September 2013 now and still no approval.

If for some reason the approval is after their 2 year wedding anniversary which is March 2014 would they get the 10 year Green card or 2 year green card.

She is trying to see if USCIS will stale their petition now so they can get 10 year but I am fuzzy on the subject. HELP

Oh hi everyone.

They should get the 10y GC. Should being the key word here. They could send it back with a copy of marriage certificate if it was issued after the 2nd anniversary, and get it changed.

Actually AOS from K-1 only can result in 2-year GC. No point in stalling. Why are immigration questions in this thread?

ya, me too ! was up till 2 am, then crawled out o bed around 6:30 am. Glad to report Mrs. Darnell got all her stuff submitted via CITIC bank on her Monday morning. That was fun !!! She's been suffering from an inner ear infection also, so she's been going in almost daily for treatment and drainage. Apparently they are piercing her eardrum with a laser for the draining - sheesh, all this newfangled stuff !!!

So, what is that, you ask? Has she been listening for love, in all the wrong places???? biggrin.png

Still, is no fun for her.

In knee news - I'm almost recovered. Did some exercise this weekend, and took my bike out for a 5 km jaunt. I was surprised, no pain on the knee before, during or after the ride. This newfangled surgery is the shiznet !

Except for the short-of-sleepiness, good stuff, Brother D.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

Cat wants to play. I wadded up some sheets of paper and threw them for her to chase. We hadn't done that in a while. She just brought one all the way upstairs. I threw it, and she brought it back. Never knew that cats played "fetch," no man.

Now, she's sitting on the floor, looking up at me expectantly. Gotta play with both children, wee and miu, man.

Long after the rest of us (even moi) are in bed, I've heard her chasing these things around the house, miu man.

In other thrilling news, we're potty-training Mini-Bone, pee man.

Ali has decided he'll fly over during the last week of October. It's finally becoming a real, tangible thing for me. And it has reminded me of how much I need to do to prepare for his arrival. It will be such a change...living with another person...

Thankin' ye. Amy's getting prepped for my arrival but we're looking at December. Even sooner if by some mystical force NVC ships it to London quickly.

Why I ask immigration here is because

1. this is where the excellent knowledgeable minds are.

2. I knew I would get a quick answer.

And growing tired opening up a whole topic for someone else and wanted to report back quickly.

Was taking a sick day yesterday, and yes I was really sick. Got better by afternoon, and why the heck can't the office go one day without breaking the server while I'm gone? Seriously, no issues in weeks and I leave one day and they break everything. So I arrive this morning and need to fix the domain server, fix the print server, fix a back up system, fix someone's computer. I swear they save breaking to system for when I'm not in the office.
