They're just big, big bottles. I like dry reds and Franzia doesn't really do it for me in that respect.

Good thinking. I hope you find something soon! I love my mom and her husband, but I had to get out of their house asap!

I love love love my in-laws! I love his whole family and his friends. I don't know how I got so lucky with him to be honest! I do wish that we could have done this the opposite way where I would have immigrated there, but we wouldn't have been able to afford a house, etc. I hope we can move there in the future. Such a more relaxed lifestyle.

Would drink the reds....

Awww Nik, at least you made the effort! I'm sure it was delicious, despite what the hubby thinks!

I know what you mean, Franzia is a little on the sweet side and I didn't like it too much the first time I tasted it.. but after putting it in the fridge for a while the sweetness seems to go away and it's much better. But yeah, I do prefer a more dry wine.

Aww that's so sweet that you feel so lucky smile.png Why do you feel that there is a more relaxed life-style in the UK? I dunno, I guess I just can't imagine why anyone would want to leave the U.S. I love it here!!! Maybe if you moved there you'd actually end up missing it here..

Edit: I guess it might be more relaxed if they are from a small town in the UK?

So dinner smelled fantastic, but did not have a lot of flavour in the meat. Overall I'm disappointed and won't be using the campbell's slow cooker sauces again. I cooked a BBQ one once before with a Kraft sauce and it was great. sad.png I made coleslaw and I thought it was good (fresh is sooo much better, it's crunchy not mushy) but hubs said it tasted to much like mayo (after complaining about the meat all meal.) Overall = fail. Won't be making pulled pork again, just the BBQ beef.

Gonna go post all that in my dinner thread.

Well, at least you know what not to do next time! I think negative feedback is better than false positive feedback because it helps you get better each time. Sometimes I suspects the hubs lies to me about my food..

Interesting! I might try this.

Yes, he is from a small town but when I visited, people just seemed so lovely. They are more in-line with how I view America, politics, etc, as opposed to the people I am currently surrounded by. I guess I just feel more at-home there if that makes sense?

But, I do know that the immigration requirements for the UK are pretty crazy.

Yep! We actually talked about that on skype today. :(

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

That's interesting. Obviously you are liberal (me too).

I don't care for politics at all, and I'm sure I have pretty different views than my in-laws but it's not a topic of conversation that has eveeer come up, which I'm perfectly fine with.

I feel more at home in America because of how people act, and their humor. I feel like everyone is so friendly!!! (unlike Spain) It's great smile.png and I don't have to worry about people robbing me (unlike Mexico). And I just get them. Even though I'm mexican.. I just don't get other mexicans sometimes.

Edit: More specifically, I don't get Mexican humor.

Of course, I overlook things like that because I'm born and raised, and of course, there are good things about America. Though, I have always loved traveling and being abroad, and have always enjoyed that time more than the time I've spent here. I am really glad that you're getting on so well here because I feel like I read so many posts from people who feel like they can't relate or that they don't fit in. That makes me sad. I try to make everyone feel welcome, and I hate that there are people here who do the exact opposite.

Well I think that's really great that you try to make everyone feel welcome smile.png. I really don't understand people who get homesick at all, but I'm just used to moving around so much that the thought of having a "home" to miss feels alien to me. I really hope you get a chance to move the England someday and see if you actually like it more than here smile.png Maybe small town UK is actually a better place for you! You never know..

I'm going to spend some time with the hubs now! Tty tomorrow! Good night smile.png
