It was amazing because just 10 minutes before my mother-in-law called I was telling the hubs that I was hungry and felt like going to taco bell (even though I dont like it too much.. mexican tacos are so much better) and then his mother calls and asks if we want to come over for dinner! and ta-da!! Nice! And no, I have shitty beer. MN doesn't sell on Sundays, aside from the crappy beer in gas stations. Poverty.

Tacos sound fabulous! I like TB when drinking. I have fond memories of going through the drive-thru very intoxicated late in the morning during uni. Do you get along well with the in-laws?

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Well hello!! That's why you have to have enough wine so that doesn't happen! I buy my wine 5 liters at a time (yes ok, not the classiest wine, but whateves, I couldnt afford to support by wine drinking habits otherwise.. especially when the whole family steals from me)

I love the in-laws!! They are so different from my parents. I mean I wouldnt wish to have grown up in this household, I feel like my parents brought me up in a much more structured manner. But his parents are great for living with now, cause they are so easy going, it's so easy to live with them. My parents would get on my nerves really fast.

How do you feel about your in-laws?

I agree! And normally I would. What do you buy? Franzia? I get those double bottles most of the time.

Oh good. Always nice to hear that people get along with their in-laws. Do you have plans to rent or buy in the future?

Yes, Franzia :) I haven't seen "double bottles", but I buy the 5 liter box :).

Yes, as soon as I get a job and we move (because most likely I won't find a job near here). We'll probably rent the first year or two in case I end up finding a better job somewhere else and we want to move, but ideally we'll buy a house less than two years from now.

So dinner smelled fantastic, but did not have a lot of flavour in the meat. Overall I'm disappointed and won't be using the campbell's slow cooker sauces again. I cooked a BBQ one once before with a Kraft sauce and it was great. :( I made coleslaw and I thought it was good (fresh is sooo much better, it's crunchy not mushy) but hubs said it tasted to much like mayo (after complaining about the meat all meal.) Overall = fail. Won't be making pulled pork again, just the BBQ beef.

Gonna go post all that in my dinner thread.

They're just big, big bottles. I like dry reds and Franzia doesn't really do it for me in that respect.

Good thinking. I hope you find something soon! I love my mom and her husband, but I had to get out of their house asap!

I love love love my in-laws! I love his whole family and his friends. I don't know how I got so lucky with him to be honest! I do wish that we could have done this the opposite way where I would have immigrated there, but we wouldn't have been able to afford a house, etc. I hope we can move there in the future. Such a more relaxed lifestyle.

Would drink the reds....

Awww Nik, at least you made the effort! I'm sure it was delicious, despite what the hubby thinks!
