My wife attended her CP interview today ( EB2 India follow to join). The visa officer said the visa is approved and handed out the sheet which has A number. Was not handed any 221(g) form. However when I checked the status online, it shows administrative processing. This really worries me as Admin processing can take time and EB2 India dates may retrogress. Why does status show admin processing, is there something I can do to know what it is - Called the consulate they said simply to check back the status and was not helpful? This is the site I checked the status - https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx .

have any one of you seen any cases like this? My wife wasnt asked much questions, just about where I work etc (I just joined new company last week - different from both my GC sponsor and my previous company - would that be an issue?)

I would keep checking the CEAC status. Mine went to Administrative Processing for a few hours before eventually changing to Issued. This was a day after the interview.

Thanks, that's bit relieving. Is this normal, though? Was just paranoid to see AP, and dates for EB2 in India will retrogress in Oct.
