Warts are a huge problem.

She could try Compound W.

Now that all depends on where the warts are doesn't it? :hehe:

My thoughts exactly! If its the STD warts....who knows...they are highly communicable and I don't think we'd want the opportunity for them to spread around the US any more than they already do...just my 2 cents!

Aha. Very true. Compound W probably isn't a good way to get rid of genital warts.

 I doubt it is! Should we tell the OP warts are no reason for a visa to be denied?

Warts, large tonsils, urinary tract infections . . . oh my

The US government cares about communicable disease and drug abusers - not about warts (or tonsil size or UTIs)

http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/ineligibilities/ineligibilities_1364.html

Section 212(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act reads:

(a) Classes of Aliens Ineligible for Visas or Admission.-Except as otherwise provided in this Act, aliens who are inadmissible under the following paragraphs are ineligible to receive visas and ineligible to be admitted to the United States:

(1) Health-related grounds.-

(A) In general.-Any alien-

(i) who is determined (in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services) to have a communicable disease of public health significance, which shall include infection with the etiologic agent for acquired immune deficiency syndrome,

Warts are communicable, right? My friend has peri-####### warts. I know very little about that disease. But I guess she will be denied visa because of that.

Here's an idea - perhaps your friend can go to a doctor and have her peri-####### warts treated BEFORE her medical exam and visa interview. Then there will be no reason to worry about her visa being denied (which I highly doubt it would be in the first place, assuming this is even a real question).

KK, why are you answering these questions?

The OP is asking about their friend, and really, who cares? The OP should be worried about their FIANCE.

perianal warts

####### warts are benign tumours of the epidermis induced by inoculation of specific papova viruses; they are usually transmitted by sexual activity.

If the immune system is compromised, they can present major problems to cure.

The general principles of management of warts is presented in the menu below. Note that if surgical excision under local anaesthetic is the only practical treatment option, then normal skin between the warts needs to be carefully preserved so as to avoid delays in healing and ####### canal stenosis.

It is prudent to consider the HIV and hepatitis B status of the patient, and counselling as to the wart presence and treatment of sexual partners.

YMMV
