Hi everyone,

I just got this website from my friend who lives in Texas. I have US fiancee, which we had been in relationship for several months. He will come to visit me for the first time on October and we just want to make everything done as soon as possible. We talk on skype at least twice per day and texting all day long. We just can't wait to be together and take care of any visa that could bring me to the US.

The question is, is that possible for us to apply the k-1 visa before we meet? *maybe he could give a copy of his ticket to the USCIS as a proof or something? or we have to meet in person first and then start the application?

I will appreciate any advice. Thank you so much for help!

Meeting in person will be a good idea for your relationship anyway, talking online is very different to spending real time together

Yeah you really need to have met in person before you begin the process and retain evidence of this for your petition. Also, as the last poster said meeting is very different to being online together, once you have spent time together in person you will have a much better idea if marriage is the logical next step.

There are two main requirements for the I-129F. One is that you are both free and legally able to marry at the time the I-129F petition is filed. The other is that you have met face-to-face in person at least once within the 2 years prior to filing the petition. You must meet in person first, or be denied for not meeting the requirements of the petition.

Yes, once is all that is needed for the I-129F petition. You will need to supply proof of meeting with passport stamps, copies of boarding passes, hotel receipts, ATM receipts/bank and/or credit statements showing use in the other country while visiting and a few photos together(some together with friends and family are helpful) as secondary evidence to backup the other primary stuff.
