Interview today but USEM closed

Hi, I have the same experience and I do hope this gets sorted out. I'm kind of a nervous wreck. Been following quietly but can't help not to respond so that I can also add to the positive vibes...hopefully the more positivity we bring into this situation the more we get to receive the good news!

So does this mean we'll be hearing something positive this thursday? I really hope and pray that everything will be back to normal so we can move on with our lives. i was thinking I am going to try to resched tom but if they have special instruction for us, i can wait till thursday what do you think ladies?

They said they don't have work tomorrow...its a holiday. I guess we just really have to wait till Thursday.

This is really so frustrating and stressful. I was there at 6am today along with so many applicants, we were all wet and dripping and within the area were flooding. Had to walked back to the hotel with my bare feet (had to take off my high heels!) and the water was almost on my knee level. No admin staff in the embassy were present except the security guard who told us that our appointment are cancelled and just to call USEM or visit the website for rescheduling! Is that it? After the trouble and most stressful trip ive been through! 1st, my flight to manila was delayed for 6hrs yesterday and wasnt almost able to land bec of the poor visibilty so the pilot has to make a 2nd attempt to try to land. Thank God we made it! And Now i am stucked again here in the airport have to wait tomorrow for my flight back to my place. Pffftt! I know this situation is beyond our control, what to do?! But wait and wait i guess for an appointment again and who knows? I cant even make a new sked today but only after 24hrs.. (Sigh) Its prolonging the agony! Nevetheless, i thank God that we are safe and still all in 1 piece though. We just hang on there on our journey! This is my story., :-)

Ugh..this is really beginning to suck I called also and they said I should call back Thursday to reschedule. Hopefully we both get a schedule before August ends. I so regret rescheduling the original interview date. We were supposed to be schedule for August 29....such a wrong move ;(

I tried to resched mine for more than 24 hours already but it says i have no record when i tried to put the receipt number. so i guess there is no sense of them saying wait for 24hrs to resched. i think what we can do now is wait until thursday and update everyone.

i hate waiting. hehe but we have no choice.

yeah i think so too. need to wait for thurs for rescheduling. i am planning to sched it via online tom but think will be getting the same like you. lets hope for the best and have the interview ASAP cheers!

Yes he told me that you were there. Glad that you were able to see him. It is very frustraiting. I told him not to go but he decided to go anyways as he we don't live far from Manila and he didn't want to risk not going just incase it was open. USEM should be considerate of giving priority to the people who had interviews Mon-Tues. They could have announced it earlier about the closing rather than having people travel and go through all the trouble just to get to the embassy so they wouldn't miss the interview. We have done so much waiting already and are all excited to that finally this day has come.

Vazpayne 19 we originally had our interview schedule for Auguts 29 also but decided to reschedule for August 20 also. We should have just stuck with the original date but still we can't tell what the weather will be like...it could have happen on the original date of our interview..keep me posted. we will try calling on thursday as weel to reschedule.

i hate waiting too but yea we have no choice. it just sucks that if they will not give us priority we would have to wait another month if what someone on facebook said that the earliest date available is sept 23. like the non-immigrant visa they are allowed to go anytime until aug 29 between 11-2pm? this is very frustrating.

I have some good news for all of you that needs to reschedule. check the USEM website...earliest dates available for August are 8/26 - 8/27 and then for Sept is 9/3-9/5. I was able to reschedule my fiance's appointment for Monday @ 7:30am.
