My lawyer secretary told me that they sent off my RFE finally (Dec1). We will see??

When the USCIS gets a RFE package they should update the case online. Right? Will they also send me an Email that they received the RFE? If I would not get any conformation about my RFE in a few more days, how can I check with the USCIS if they received it?

After the USCIS gets the RFE. Will it take an other 90 days before I could get my EAD card? Or can I request a card after the 90 days are past from the day I filled my AOS??

The USCIS tries to process applications in the order received, but of course, RFE's delay the processing. Once the RFE has been receive, they should be able to begin the reprocessing. Have you asked your attorney why it took them so long to respond?

HI there,

as you can see on my timeline, I received an RFE for the I 485...

Well, I submitted the documents and a few days after they received my RFE, they sent me an email, saying that processing has been resumed.

Along with my I 485 I applied for a EAD and in my RFE letter it said that I I couldn't get my EAD within 90 days after the RFE had been submitted...

Well...you can see that it didn't take 90 days to get my EAD approved...

So, it kinda depends at which service center you are...luck and all that.

I think that I got pretty lucky so far and I am very thankful for that!

Good luck on your journey!

I did. First he told me he had no time to look at the REF jet. Then he told me he had to do a deeper research. That sounded like bulls*** to me. I don’t know why lawyers think people are stupid. Anyway, after waiting again I called 2 weeks later. Surely enough time for his research. What really pissed me off was that he said to me when I asked “have you been able to read the USCIS letter and found out what they need?” his answer “What letter”. I was so furious I could a screamed. He then wanted to tell me that he needed an other week. That’s when I said no. I told him how long it’s been since he got the REF letter and I want answers know. So he called up my file and looked at it said O.K I have to send you some forms to sign and that will be it. All it took was 5 minute for his research. Yes I came to the conclusion that my Lawyer gives a dame about his clients just the money. The problem is my lawyer is 600 miles from where we are right now. So it’s not like I can walk into his office and complain.
