I-130 Form Help

Hi,

Im filling out an I-130 form and am stuck on section C. number 14. The Arrival/Departure Record (I-94) requires an 11 digit number. My wife has a I-797A, notice of action letter sent to her that has an I-94# that is 11 digits. However, stapled to her visa is a small white paper that says departure record. the bottom of the form also says I-94. there is an admission number which is also 11 digits.

My question is, which 11 digit number do I use on the I-130 form in section C. #14 under Arrival/Departure REcord (I-94)?

You only fill that out if your wife is currently in the US. Is she in the US? Why does she have a Notice of Action, for what?

Yes, she is here in the US. I think the notice of action was to change her status from a j-1 which is how she first arrived here in NYC - as a student. but then was sponsored for work on an H1B.

What are the dates on the stuff you got? You should really be asking her this, she knows when she entered, where she was, etc.

The I-94 is a white piece of paper in the passport with a number on it. That's the I-94 number.

Now your wife changed status in the US and got a letter-sized paper with a new I-94 number on it, without an actual I-94, is that right? Has she left the country since then? When did this happen (I-94s went electronic a few months ago).
