If the USCIS requires more evidence from the petitioner, they will send the petitioner a request for evidence (RFE). The most common RFEs involve additional proof of having met in person within the past two years from the date of filing the petition, and proof of being single and free to marry.

At the Embassy level in Manila, they will be looking mainly at whether the petitioner has an adequate income, and whether the couple has a bona fide relationship.

I've read in this forum before that she was denied because of lack of proof to a genuine relationship, they only met once. Couldn't find that but it's here on VJ she's from Philippines. Maybe if you will Google, you will find out several K1 Denials and you'll see most of them are lack of proof of bona fide relationship.

The only denials i have really seen on ehre are from people who havent met the criteria I.E not met in person in 2 years or who have sent no where near enough information in their peition

K1's denied stateside are usually for lack of evidence of meeting , not being free to marry, and other errors in use of the form. Denials at interview are usually lack of evidence of a bonafide relationship although sometimes iespecially high fraud consulates the CO's claim in wrong. Other denials are for failed medical, insufficient income, getting married during the process.
