Hello my VJ friends....

I am in need of some answers and hope I hope i can get the answers here..... So here it goes and I hope I won't confuse you.........

I have not worked in 14 years so I don't have a W2, and went through a divorce and I filed married for 2012 tax year even thought we were not living together for part of that time and the divorce was final Feb 2013. I have been living off the family support for almost a year while looking for a job. I have just secured a job but it is a part time temporary position with possible part time permanent at the end of March/April 2014. My family support is well over the poverty level required. I also have property and a healthy savings.

OK, So now that I got that all out I would like to know what documents I need to produce, if I can, to attach to the I-134 since I have no W2s and my 2012 and past taxes were filed as married filing joint and show less than 10,000.00 a year......long story....... anyway I just would like to know if I can file the I-134 myself of do I need a co-sponsor?

This is really confusing and I need some help from anyone that knows.

Thank you for any information you can share with me.

The family support is what exactly? Alimony, child support? Something that will continue even if you remarry? If it will continue and you have a court order for it, then use it. Show a copy of the court order and bank statements showing the deposits of the amount the order says you are to get a month. Provide bank statements for your assets too. A letter from your employer that states your salary can be used to prove your employment income. Take a copy of your 2012 tax transcript, just in case they require it for your consulate. If your consulate has specific instructions for what to provide then you know for sure if you need it or not.

If your family support that you live off of will not continue, then you will need a co-sponsor.
