Woman with Concealed Carry Handgun Stops Six Robbers at Houston Denny's

A woman whose husband was being accosted by six men in a Houston area Denny's pulled her concealed carry handgun from her purse and opened fire on the robbers.

According to Click2Houston.com, the wife was in the restroom, and when she came out she saw her husband lying on the floor, the group of robbers nearby. Police say she then "pulled her gun and shot at them."

It appears the robbers shot back and police say there was a shootout. The robbers were apparently running as they shot.

"No bystanders or customers" in the restaurant were injured, and the robbers "fled the scene."

The brother of the robbery victim praised the woman for doing what she did and said, "Self-defense saved my brothers' life."

But it does not count because no one was killed. Or even shot that we know of. Therfore it will not be included in the "you are more likely to be killed by your own gun than kill a criminal defending yourself" "study" What if you defend MORE people than just yourself...people who had planned to call a policeman to bring a gun in case they needed one while eating at Denny's. Who would imagine you go to Denny'sand need a gun before you leave?

I admit to being a bit peeved at the lady's poor shooting ability. Had she killed a couple of them it would look better for the "study". Now it doesn't even count.

Some parts of Houston are dangerous at 3 in the morning... Just sayin (even if they weren't there at 3 AM)

One of the first things they teach you in a firearms training class is ...Do you really need to be buying a 12 pack at 1 am at a 7-!!. That said I have in the past worked until 2 AM and have ate breakfast at this hour many times. 6 people with guns standing over everyone lying face down perhaps means they wanted to leave no one alive before they departed, . (think across the border)A very brave woman.
