Has anyone here paid for new uscis fee of $165? for green card processing. If you've been granted IV visa how do you pay for this fee, on visa it does not show your A# -- alien #...Do you pay it before you enter the US or after? Please help guys-

11-16-12: Sent I-130 for Dad.
11-19-12: Priority date/rec'd date.
02-06-13: Case approved, NOA2.
02-19-13: NVC received case.
03-08-13: Case # assigned--HCM2013******.
03-09-13: Paid AOS Fee $88.00.
03-09-13: Emailed DS-3032 from Beneficiary's email address.
03-13-13: AOS Fee showed as PAID & sent AOS package certified mail.
03-18-13: AOS package delivered @ 10:50 A.M.
03-18-13: DS-3032 accepted.
03-20-13: IV Bill Invoice.
03-21-13: Paid IV Fee $230.00.
03-23-13: IV Fee showed as PAID.
04-23-13: Sent IV package certified mail.
04-26-13: IV package delivered @ 11:13 A.M.

05-08-13: Case completed @ NVC per telephone call.

05-15-15: Case completed per email from NVC.

06-07-13: Rec'd email from NVC RE: interview date. (letter dated 06-05-13).

07-18-13: Interview date-- PASSED.

You don't get a bill you need to look at your passport with the visa it should have your number there.

USCIS ELIS is easy to use and provides direct access to case status updates. New immigrants will also use USCIS ELIS to file future applications and petitions when they become available in the system.

Visa does not show your Alien #. How do I find out Alien# in order to pay for this fee?

on the visa, there is an alien registration number, starting with A

it's a bit of a mess at ELIS, but

if you put a 0 between the A and the first digit in the 2nd position (reading left to right),

ELIS will find you.

on you visa register number is.. your A# look like this.. on your visa 12345678 you have to input like this A012345678 this will make 10 digits total include (A), your reg number is on top right of your visa. you will need to create an account under the immigration name on this site https://elis.uscis.dhs.gov/cislogin/CISControllerAction.do?TAM_OP=login&ERROR_CODE=0x00000000&URL=%2F&AUTHNLEVEL=&OLDSESSION= ... you can make payment under your name, but login and register much be under immigration name otherwise it will not work....
