And u r positive about this??? The ss office won't give me any trouble at all??? If this is rli possible this is the best news I've heard allll day

Yes I'm positive. The stamp is as good as your actual GC. People who enter on CR-1 visas get stamps. You might have trouble, can't say you won't, but only because some SSA officers are morons. If you DO have trouble then ask for a supervisor. If you STILL have trouble call the SSA number and, in nicer words, tell them you're dealing with morons.

I think you have a mail delivery problem at your house/apartment. Have you talked to your mailman and your local post office. Is your name on the mailbox?

This is exactly what happened to my daughters green card. We didn't put her name in our mail box so it was sent back because of course it was sent in her name. We finally figured it out after meeting with USCIS in person. They said it would take at least a month to get the card. After making sure the name was in the box later that day, it arrived the following day.

Ok here's the thing guys. Yess my name is on the mailbox. I recieved allll other documents from uscis just fine. I recieved my noa1, my biometrics appointment letter, my interview appointment letter n even last week I recieved the approved I-130 and also my welcome to America letter! Yess I had tracking on the greencard. I live in mount Vernon ny and the mail came to the mount vernon post office and was outt for delivery. Then tracking said 'delivery status not updated'. So I went to the post office to see wat was going on n they confirmed that they recieved the package n can't seem to find it! So its suspicious that I got all my regular mails but the important docs went missing. Got me thinking about identity theft. N btw I reported the ead issue to uscis and I was told that they don't give replacement eads n that I would have to reapply and pay the fee so that's why I didn't reapply. N I filed a report with usps and they said that they r not 'responsible' for the lost of mail unless it was insured. Imagine that

Mine isn't undeliverable. They just can't find it

For my GC, on the tracking page it was stated that the delivery was insured for $100 . Did you have something similar stated on your tracking page for the GC? Not sure if they do it for everyone. Because if they said that about not being responsible unless insured that you can get them if USCIS insured the mail?

Yea my greencard has a $100 insurance too...my ead didn't tho. What does that 100 dolla insurance even mean tho? They'll cover what? Just a hundred dolla?

Probably. Go to USPS and let them know that the item with your tracking number was insured and they need to go and find the mail since they said they are not responsible for any mail UNLESS it is insured. Well it is insured. So tell them to find it.

I've had problems with USPS regarding government and sensitive mail before. You need to put your foot down otherwise they give you the run around.

It does make me wonder about identity theft too.

I was going off of what you said before in case you were wondering:

"N I filed a report with usps and they said that they r not 'responsible' for the lost of mail unless it was insured."

Guys that's scary that UPS can lost EAD as well as GC . My contract just got completed and I am moving to a different place.

I have been working on my paperwork for like almost a month. I will be sending my documents to USCIS most probably tomorrow.

Now if I keep my present address on my form , change my address on USPS and then move to a different place.'

Would there be any problem in receiving my documents ? Reading this post is very scary. I do not have a new address at the place I am moving now but I have friends staying at this place who will let me know of any mails. What do you guys suggest?
