Thanks dwheels76 and everyone. I know I must have to use any of the 2 assigned hospitals for the medicals. I just want to run the tests independently now and have an idea what the results look like, before I go for the medicals whenever it comes up. If anything is wrong and can be treated before then, the better timewise.

I have a medical scheme which is not refundable whether or not I go to hospital. So its not like I would be wasting money pre-running the tests. I won't spend a dime on it as its my entitlement as an employee in my workplace. The essence is just to have prior knowledge before the medicals.

You will get the basic 3 shots the tetanus MMR, DTR they will ask you some questions about childhood illness and how you answer will determine what other shots and test you may need. Most only get the 3 maybe 4 at most shots. results can be picked up in 4 days.

Usually if you get PCC form the headquarters in Algabon its that cheaper fare.

Just go to the embassy website and look around for medical the shots are listed. Usually shots not given by them they don' like that but you can try.

Hi Dwheels,

I happened on this thread looking for other information. I know it's old but hoping you see this. Do you know if the authorized doctors will accept documentation of vaccination from a local hospital and if so, how does it have to be presented. I.e. on a "yellow card" or letter head or what?

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Bring in your immunization card/records from doctor how ever they supply it and present at medical. They should accept. I have know of many who go to their own doctor for the shots cuz its cheaper.

Why not call the clinic and asked them what they want.

Ok, thanks. Yes, that's what we've heard, that it's cheaper.

I tried to call several times today but never got an answer. I was using rebtel and sometimes the calls don't go through so I'll try again tomorrow, but thanks much.
