Filing DCF help with I-130

Hello all. Am a US citizen preparing to marry my fiancee this Fall and then file I-130 directly in Italy at the Embassy.

Am combing over the threads and have read so many encouraging stories. Yay!!! I am reviewing the I-130 procedures and documents so I can have most all ready in advance.

I have read that theI-130 form requires:

"Evidence of a bonafide marriage"

If we are to marry and then file, what evidence can I show to the Embassy besides our marriage certificate? Perhaps some photos of wedding or our relationship through the years? An advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

They list types of evidence in the I-130 instructions. They suggest a joint lease/mortgage, joint bank accounts, things like that.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Hi Harpa,

thanks for the reply!

Yes, as we will get married this Fall, we don't have anything 'joint' yet. I intend to submit my I-130 shortly after getting married and then travel back to the U.S. while my fiance waits for the next steps. I can not create bank accounts or credit cards without him.

Advice?

Until you are married all is expected is that you have met, know each other, communicate regularly until married follow the guides and evidence and you should be fine, good luck.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Mine was approved with a very recent marriage and only photo evidence - in China unmarried couples are not allowed to have 'joint' things...they accepted the I-130 but we have lived in the same country for 3 years, but might be different for you because I'm not sure about your situation or your specific consulate.

I did, however, write our names and the date on each photo to demonstrate we were in a bonafide relationship for three years prior to the marriage.

Hope that helps, and that your consulate accepts without all the joint proofs!

Hello all. Am preparing all items for the DCF Form I-130. Question...

Section B of the form asks for address. I will submit the I 130 and return to the United States. I would like all paperwork to go to United States. Since DCF requires you are in the country for 6 months or are a resident, will I have a problem filling in a USA address? Will the consular officer request I insert my foreign address - where I am currently residing?

Thanks!
