Trying to set an interview appointment on the USEM website

I'm trying to make the interview appointment online but it will not take the passport numbers as the receipt number. She paid in cash at BPI this morning 8/16 at 11:31am. I should be able to schedule the appointment as it has been longer than 4 hours. It's now 4:37pm EDT. I have the receipts am I using the wrong number? I don't recognize the numbers on the receipt as being her our her kids passport numbers .

Often times it takes BPI longer than four hours to process payments.

The receipt number is not usually the passport number (it being the passport number is from times of old .... rarely if at all now a days). What is the receipt number on the deposit slip that was give to you from BPI.

And as Tahoma said, it takes time for the payment to be recorded with the embassy. They say 4 hours, but 8 hours is more like the minimum with waiting a day being more common.

yup took almost 24 hrs for me...

The 9 digit number should be your receipt number. Now you just need to be patient for a few more hours. I would wait until at least 8 hours after paying.

I returned to the website and using the 9 digit I was able to move onto the scheduling screen. Holy ####### Batman, there are not many days available for us to choose. Especially the dates we wanted. Back to the drawing board with the Misses.

Before USEM switched to using this deposit slip method of paying the visa fee the passport number normally was the receipt number. Now ... not so. You were just reading TOOOOOO old of posting...

Could be the embassy is just a little backed up with trying to catch up. Normally after 24 hours at the most its updated with the embassy.

mine took 24 hours before the website accepted my receipt number
