Hi everyone.. I have talked to my mom this morning and she said my daughter's BC will be issued next month.. I'm kinda sad that we didn't make it before her k2 expired which is today. But anyway, we will just petition her as my husband stepdaughter. We will probably send the packet next month as soon we get the copy of her BC. Now the question is: what are the forms that I will need to submit? Are they I-131,g-235a, and g-1145? Do I need to include I-485 and I-864? Sorry I'm kind of confused here. I wanna have the idea what are the requirements and forms we will need for her petition. Hoping that we won't have RFE.

Please, please guys help me..

Thanks in advance.

Too bad you didn't complete the interview and get that done, even short the birth certificate, you would have gotten a 221g for the BC but that would have been your only wait....

Hank.. I didn't have a thought of that. Well she can't have passport too because she have no BC. Then she can't have her medical because she have no passport. So much complication. Geeze!

Ahhh there is the clinger in the gears ohmy.png ... didn't think of that.... well it looked good on paper... blush.png .

Sucks to be away from your little one, especially at this stage.

Now back to your question. Wish I knew more on that process...

Thanks hank. Yeah it is so hard to be away from her. I'm thankful that we have Skype. It helps a lot to let her know how much I love her. And she is looking forward to be here w us.

I hope vj family can help me w my queries. I do not know how many Philippine members of vj has the same situation or had petitioned for step daughter. Hopefully someone enlighten me,

Anyway I looked up at form I-131 and there is a question "have you ever filed a petition for this or any other alien" should we say yes for k2?

I know how it feels to be away from ur child. I was away from my kids for 3 years but it was all planned before I even got married to my husband now. Everything as planned worked out so well in God's hands.

Your husband can petition ur child through I- 130 or u can petition her as an LPR. But what we did was the better way, my USC husband was the one who filed I- 130 for my 2 kids,

With prayers my kids are here now with us ( 2010) and they are now US citizens like me.

Hi thanks for sharing your experience. I'm glad that you have your kids w you now. Anyway, can you tell me how long it took for the petition to get approved? Only I-130 is the form that I need?
