Another Question about the I-134 (actually about 4 detailed questions)

Hello, I am a US Citizen, and my beneficiary/future wife is Japanese. I am going to use my mother as a Co-sponsor, so I know she has to do her own I-134. I looked up the instructions for filling out this form, and it just says she needs a letter from the bank, and a letter from her job. She works for the NYC MTA (Subway system). I am wondering, does the letter stating that she is currently working for them have to be "super official", as in, she won't simply be able to just get a regular supervisor to type it up on some company letterhead. Does it need to come from the top people at the company?

Also, I am an Independent Contractor, so I will be submitting my Tax return. The instructions say to just submit last year. but can I submit the last 2 years?

Also, I don't actually have a saving's account. I have a checking account. Should I just get a paper from my bank saying I have $_________ in my checking account?

Lastly, I saw some cases on here, where they mentioned that the co-sponsor submitted check stubs or tax return, but since my co-sponsor has a steady record of working for the same company (over 10 years), and the official i-134 instructions didn't ask for it, she doesn't need to submit this other stuff, right?

The employment letter can be on letterhead from the supervisor.

Why do you want to show 2 years' worth?

Sure.

Check stubs or tax return?? She definitely needs to include a tax return. The employment letter will suffice for proof of current employment, no need for paystubs, but yes to tax return. Tax return and paystubs are not equivalents of eachother.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

It didn't say that she would need a tax return on the official instructions on the USCIS website, but I'll make sure to get her on it.

I wanna show 2 years because I'm an independent contractor that doesn't have one sole job, so by including 2 years, I'll be able to show a trend.

Back to the most important question, I will look into getting the most official letter possible (better safe than sorry, right?)

Thanks for the replies.
