Your husband was denied for what, in December this year? Don't file the I-129F. It hasn't saved significant time since 2006 and has been virtually unobtainable since 2/1/2010.

221g is not a denial, it is Administrative processing. So you were not denied yet but you gave up and withdrew the petition. There is nothing to be gained by doing that — it would have been better t

Hi

Unfortunately contrary to what NLR stated earlier, providing more evidence probably wouldn't have helped! I have the same situation! My husband is Nigerian but we got married in Ghana. I have found numerous people on this site who got married to Nigerian, Ghanaian, Malaysian have been denied for 221g.

We submitted fedex, western union receipts chat history, call logs affidavits from people stating our marriage is real and they still denied my husband.

Our file was sent back to USCIS for review and we were told they have 120 days to do so! October 11th will make day 90 .I haven't seen my husband since March 20th 2012!

I understand how you feel! Trust me. If come November 11th I don't get results, I will be going to join my husband in Ghana! This whole process is ridiculous!

we mailed a notice to you reaffirming the approval of this case and returned the case to the Department of State for visa processing.

Does anyone know about a waiting time frame for the interview date? What next do you think I should get ready for? I'd love your advice. Thanks Visa J

Interviews usually are scheduled 2 to 4 months after reaffirm. All you can do is wait.

Prepare nothing really to do but wait until you get interview. Then you can get new police report and depending how long its been they may ask for new medical.

Since you say your husbands answers to questions were an issue maybe you two should practice.

Usually the second time around there's not much but you never know.

He needs to be confident and know what he knows and say it with confidence. Not be rattled or indecisive.

I just left the country a week ago but being there for the interview.... Do they let the couple in? How well does this go besides do I need to file a new affidavit of support form again?

No theyt don't let you in. But you being there says alot and they will know when he hands over your passsport with his. Shows support shows solidarity. Speaks volumes. Rarely if ever in Lagos will they ever ask for Petitioner to come in.

When you ghet your interview letter they will instruct you (sometimesz) what you need to bring. ie.e new medical, police report, I-864). Diesn't hurt to have an updated I-864 even if nothign changed. Than you won't create a delay waiting on, more paperwork (and originals on that).

I know he will need a police report and if over 6 months a new medical. But again wait for interview letter and act accordingly.

If you just left Nigeria a week ago and can't turn around to be present at the interview then make sure he takes any and all

receipts and photos from your stay there and boarding passes of course.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Date : Oct 22, 2014

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

US Entry : Nov. 21, 2014

Marriage : Dec 27, 2014

AOS send : May 12, 2015, received May 14, 2015 USPS priority

Email &text : May 18, 2015, check cashed May 19,2015, return receipt May 21, 2015 stamped USCIS Lockbox, NOA1 (3x) May 22,2015

Biometrics : June 1, 2015 letter received for appointment June 8, 2015, successful walk-in June 1, 2015

RFE : June 12, 2015 for income not meeting guideline. Income does ( ! ) exceed guideline.

RFE response : June 26, 2015 returned with a boat load full of financial evidence.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Emails : Aug 24, 2015, EAD approved, EAD card ordered.

I-797 EAD/AP approval notice received : Aug 27, 2015

AOS Interview September 21, 2016.

Second Biometrics appointment letters received for EAD and AOS on Aug 15, 2016 for Aug 17 ( 2 day notice).

Third Biometrics appointment letter received Aug 19, 2016 for Sept. 1, 2016. WTH ?!

EAD/AP (renewal) approval Aug 22, 2016, NOA2 received Aug 25, 2016

Renewal EAD in production notification text and online, expedite successful 4 days after RFE request response was faxed, Aug25mailed,Aug29received.

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.
