Hello,

I'm having some trouble trying to figure out if my Canadian police certificate meets the K1 visa requirements for police certificates.

I've lived in Canada on and off for 6 years since 2004 though I am not a Canadian citizen. I had the RCMP clearance done on 3 May 2013 and I left Canada on 7 May 2013. I have not been back since and I'm not planning on going back as my K1 is being processed at the Embassy in Riyadh.

Will the US embassy here accept my RCMP police certificate or will it be deemed invalid because it does not cover the period of 3 May to 7 May??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Police certificates from Canada are generally valid at the consulate or embassy for 1 year, at least in Montreal.
