I like it but I don't do it very often, like once a year. Too caloric, too unhealthy.

Not overly fond of mayo as a whole (though I HAVE had "other-than-home" prepared potato salad or egg salad which contained it).

For potato salad, an alternative is sauteed mustard seeds (no lemon juice for this one)--none figured yet for egg salad (but mustard seeds DO work for "egg bhurjee", so maybe).

Ketchup for me, but I do like to dip my fries in ranch dressing every now and then.

In McDonald's in France, they have "pommes frites sauce" just made for the fries, given to you in little packets like ketchup, and all it is is mayo. You could tell which diners were american because they would be the ones using ketchup on the fries.

One thing I found interesting was that in this sandwich shop we used to go to, "sauce americaine" was ketchup and mayo together.

Forgot to mention . . . . BBQ sauce . . . lots of range in the flavors, but basically, a tangy BBQ sauce is good . . . not to mention chili, yummmm!!!

I like mc d's bbq sauce, chipotle sauce, hot mustard, even ranch dressing... all good with fries. I like chili, cheese, onions, and jalapenos on them also... I'm getting hungry thinking about this now :yes:

Do not care for Ketchup or mayo on fries....but TARTAR SAUCE!!!! YUMMY

If I have to use ketchup it has to Heinz and the mayo has to be Miracle Whip!!!!

But putting them together sounds really barfy!

VISA APPROVED!!!
