They updated her case on her interview day but her status never changed even today it says ready.

And then when I emailed time for the first time from there email inquiry system on there isl u.s embassy website they never replied, but the day of my last updated status changed to that day.

Then again I emailed them on august 1st and this time they replied and i put the subject of the email as "other" so they might reply.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our record indicates that the subject immigrant visa case is still pending under administrative processing. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict as to how long it still may take. However as soon as this process has completed, we will contact the applicant using the contact information he/she has provided on his/her form DS-230. Please rest assured that this case has neither been forgotten, nor slipped through the cracks.

If he/she has not heard from our office after six months, please have her contact our office using the web based email form available on the website of the American Embassy.

Yours truly,

Immigrant Visa Unit

Consular Section, American Embassy

Islamabad, Pakistan

^^^ This is what they said.

Then I emailed them again pleading my case on how much I miss my wife. then they sent me this email.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please refer to our email of August 1, 2013. This email clearly indicates the admin processing situation in your case. Our office would like to clarify that unless this situation has changed, there does not exist a reason for us to contact or review your case again. May we also remind that an immigrant visa application cannot be processed any further while the admin processing is pending.

Yours truly,

Immigrant Visa Unit

Consular Section, American Embassy

Islamabad, Pakistan

And they also updated my status on the day i sent the email which was the Aug. 12th and they also updated it when they sent the reply. But I don't know if they updated it on Aug 12th because I sent the email or they did it because it was exactly a month after the interview.

But her status never changed.

Please explain everything to me about your case as well!

Its been 35 days today. I cant take it no more ethier i might just quit my job and leave school to go to my wife.

Damn that sucks, leaving schoool and work but you do what u gotta do ...

I hope things go well on your side as well as other "AP'ers"

Your second email is similar to mine :(

It does no good to quit your job and go live in Pakistan unless you have a co-sponcer. AP can last a few weeks, months or years. If it lasts for a year or more they

may ask for a new affidavit of support.

Be prepared to wait for your AP to end. Islamabad seems to be working on cases very slowly right now. I hope they will work faster in the fall.

I do have a co sponsor. I am blessed then since ppl who do not have sponsers cannot leave their job.

Its just crazy because me and my wife have been married over 15 months and we only lived together for about 2 months.

It sucks.

Any advice? I was going to wait a month before making my final decision to go back to her.

Alhamdulillah most of us have co sponsors. Are you planning to go soon or you gonna wait until Eid? Around that time it will be 3 months. InshaAllah it might come before that time so we don't even have to take any risks...

It doesnt seem like they were annoyed with responding you , it just looks like there was nothing esle to tell you beside the fact that your still under AP..I know its hard but if there is nothing you can do than i guess its best to just wait ... good luck :)

When asking for fresh documents it's up to the CO to decide if he/she wants a new affidavit of support. Most of the time if the case has just been sitting in AP for over a year they will not ask for a new affidavit of support but you can never be sure.

No one can advise you if it is a good idea to quit your job and go live in Pakistan. That has to be your decision. AP for women is usually shorter then it is for men.

Yea ima wait it has been exactly 2 months since the interview. Which will be the 12th of next month.

We cannot wait any longer, And this is the decision that Allah swt has put in my heart so I will roll with it.

It wasn't an easy decision though. But nothing is promised so we will do what we can while we can.

I was always under the impression that having a co-sponsor isn't good because it shows that you can't take care of your significant other on your own. I guess it's a blessing to have the option of dropping everything and going back to wait it out. Lucky.

JBoss...before i say anything whatever here iam saying its totally my personal opinion and experience..to me the islamabad embassy dont issue visa on the base of hows your relation ship going?are you living togather?if that is the case than i was the first to get visa with out going in AP.now the reason is that why iam saying this

me and my wife(usc)living togather here in pakistan since 3 years,we been married and living tgather from nearly 2 years and few months.we started all the process from pakistan, from uscis to nvc everything(required docs) we sent from pakistan and all the process was quick it took like 15 working days to uscis to approve our i 130 that was so quick.my have joint sponsor thats our family frnd and my wife also proved her domicile and had no problem with domicile, went interview togather and CO said at the end of interview that you will get your visa 3 to 6 months max but i will try that it will be quicker.wel next month i will complete one year in AP and my wife is still here with me.she contacted with white house, senator and congressman to get help regarding AP,she always said them in email that i want to go back with my husband and always same reply from every where its AP nothing we can do.

NOW why iam saying this because we are togather here in pakistan since our wedding and my wife came before 6 months here so its over 3years since she is here and also i am not common muslim name holder than its my opinion and belief that they are not focusing on it that you are living togather or not..once again iam clarifying that this is personal opinion bsed on my personal circumstances and fact,,,,,

In fact no one I know who's going or planning on going have that in their mind :-) I'm just going to meet my wife. I pray that your AP finished soon InshaAllah. And thanks for your comment bro.
