Hello. I'm trying to bring my spouse to the states and I already filed I-130 and I-129F forms. Then I filed and payed for I-864 form and now I guess I have to pay for DS-230 part 1 form. Once thats processed will NVC then sent the package to the appropriate embassy or will there be anything else that I would have to do? And what is that form anyways? I thought that I will apply for permanent residency here. Thanks all

It sounds like you are at the NVC stage, working towards and IR/CR1, not a K3.

Once you have your interview, you will enter the U.S. as a permanent resident (have a green card), with conditions that have to be removed if you have been married less than 3 years upon entering the U.S.
