NOA2 Approved on July 29 - Post-NOA2 Docs sent!

I'm feeling good. Although I dont have any case # yet nor has our packet not yet been received by NVC, I just sent the post-NOA2 docs to my fiancé yesterday and was wondering the next steps of medical/interview.

I understand one must have the case # of the embassy in order to schedule the interview, but what about the medical? When is the time she needs to schedule that in relationship to the interview? Bec the medical needs to happen before the interview!

  • 04/24/2013 - I-129F Sent
  • 04/29/2013 - NOA1 Touched
  • 05/02/2013 - Left to visit my baby for the 3rd time!
  • 05/03/2013 - NOA1 Hardcopy received
  • 06/04/2013 - Flight back to the U.S.
  • 07/29/2013 - NOA2 (approval text) received (only 87 days since NOA1 Notice Date)
  • 08/02/2013 - NOA2 Hardcopy received
  • 08/14/2013 - Mailed all necessary post-NOA2 docs to sweetheart in preparation for her medical/interview!
  • 08/19/2013 - Manila Case # given by NVC (exactly 3 wks since NOA2)
  • 08/26/2013 - Manila Case # Hardcopy received, perfect timing for...

Can you run me by what will happen after we get the case #? I know we need the case # to pay the K-1 visa fee, then need the receipt to schedule the interview online. But what about the medical? When does that happen? It must happen before interview right?

Since she's about a 10 hour bus ride from Manila, was hoping to schedule the interview on a Friday, then the medical the Wed & Thurs before since we heard that Mon & Tues they are swamped with ppl @ St. Lukes! Do you think this is possible to do, or is it cutting it too close for comfort, even though she's pretty sure she's healthy?

You really need your case number from NVC first before you can do a medical. Your fiancé also needs a police check.

05/02/2013 I-129f sent via USPS express

05/03/2013 received by Dallas-lock box

05/07/2013 NOA1 hard copy

05/13/2013 Alien number change a email from USCIS

07/29/2013 NOA2 Approval email from USCIS

08/03/2013 NOA2 Hard Copy Recieved

08/16/2013 file sent to NVC

08/19/2013 Called DOS told NVC received file case number given.

08/21/2013 file in transit to London embassy as stated on CEAC website also spoke to DOS to confirm

08/28/2013 file ready according to CEAC website

08/30/2013 packet 3 sent with DS-2001

O9/05/2015 medical appointment

09/06/2013 packet 3 arrived in the mail.

09/10/2013 CEAC update medical result received by embassy

2/18/2014 (day 22) biometrics successful walkin.

4/01/2014 faxed expedite supporting documents to number on letter sent to me. Waiting waiting waiting

4/03/2014 (68 days) EAD and AP approved text message sent status post decision. Hooray !!!

4/7/2014 (72 days ) status change to card in production for EAD.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm

Nurseling, right, but dont we need to schedule the INTERVIEW first before Medical? We were planning to do the Medical Th-Fri then interview Mon so all in 1 setting. So in other words, after we have the case # we can schedule BOTH the interview and medical? Or for K-1 does the embassy assign one or the other?

Well how about answering them again one by one as I am asking them very clearly here. Just scroll up, and dont tell me "my questions have been answered many times" I'm sure ANYONES question has been answered a ton of times -- instead, it would help if you answer them one by one. If that's too hard for you to do then I'll just wait for someone else to be so kind to do that instead of just telling me something that doesn't help me at all.


So for anyone else that has the direct answer to this:

Once we have the case # we can schedule BOTH the interview and medical? Or for K-1 does the embassy assign one or the other? I understand we need the case # to pay for the visa fee then we need the receipt to schedule the interview but what about the medical? When exactly do we schedule that and what exactly is the process for that?

It's okay. You aren't the only person here who can help me and if you (once again) refuse to answer my direct questions and would rather lazily respond with "read this and blah blah blah" then I dont need your help anyway!

You really need to check the attitude at the door. Attacking people trying to advise you is not the way to get help, especially Hank, who if you'd bothered to look at some of these threads, would have seen that there is currently a Thank you Hank thread with over 2 pages of people thanking him for his help. You probably just alienated all of them. In the time it took you to post 3 times in different areas, and demanding responses to questions already answered, you could have read Hanks guide and gotten answers to questions you probably haven't even thought of yet.
