Hi All,

Sorry, many of you must get this question all the time but I hope you forgive me as a newbie to visajourney and the whole US visa journey.

My fiancee sent off the I-129F form last Friday by first class post (it's now Thursday afternoon). I know I am being (VERY) impatient, but would people mind giving me a rough idea of how long they had to wait for the NOA1 e-mail please?

Thanks everyone!

I express delivered mine so that won't really help you, but sometimes they, for whatever reason, don't sign people up for the email even when you file the proper form. When this happens you have to wait for the hard copy in the mail and this can double the wait time. The best way to know if your application was accepted is to see when they cash your check. Once they cash the check then they have accepted it and you will receive an NOA1 eventually. If you go 10 days and they haven't cashed your check, there may be an issue, but for now it looks like it's the first in what will be many waiting games throughout the process.

Best of Luck to you through this journey
