FRUSTRATED ABOUT I-130 ISSUES

Hello folks,

The whole immigration process is now talking a heavy toll my economic progress now. My wife in the U.S also have very little knowledge about the whole process. Right now we have received NOA1 awaiting NOA2 but for 4 months now we've heard from them. I want to ask 2 questions:

1) If our receipt number on the NOA1 starts with MCSxxxxxxxxxxx, which sercice center will it likely be now?

2) Will it be prudent to call someone to find out where our case is being processed

Please kindly help with the number we have to call, if it is necessary to call.

1. most likely at a local office by now, 4 months since the receipt date.

2. in the receipt notice, there's a number to call.

Don't worry much about it. We're on the same situation, I'm a March filer (MSC) and still waiting for our NOA 2. It's been 5 months and 4 days. MSC is processed in National Benefit Center. My husband who's in the US talked to the customer service representative last Aug 12 and said to wait for a few months for the NOA2. and the customer service representative said as well that our visa is said to be cleared on January next year. Oh well I just hope our NOA 2 arrive soon. Let's keep waiting and don't hesitate to call USCIS.

Just FYI: only the petitioner can call to find out the status at this point of processing. If the beneficiary calls they won't tell him/her anything.
