Question about the DS-3032

Am I able to request that any and all information be sent to my address (I live in Canada) or should I make it my husband's address in the USA? I'm only asking because my husband goes on tour (he's a musician) frequently, approximately 7-9 months out of the year, and if something gets mailed there and he isn't home, it's kind of just sitting there.

Canada requires use of online forms, so you would be using the DS-261, not the DS-3032. To answer your question, you can use your Canadian address if you wish. As an FYI, I put my husband's US address on the DS-261 to ensure that any mail we "may" get went to a US address. The NVC will take your emails and email you correspondence however.

The only problem for me with that is he is on tour 7-9 months out of the year so if we receive anything important, I won't know about it to be able to do anything. That's why I was planning on putting mine down.

meh you won't get anything at the actual address until you get to the USA and are waiting for your green card They will email you at the NVC stages, no worries.

ya, switch out of the EZGuide - that's for paper filers.

Canadiens mostly use Electronic Forms and Processing.

The cool thing about EP for Canadiens? Ain't no postal mail during NVC doc intake, and no postal mail before the interview date.

HOWEVER - the visa packet, after interview, is handled via Loomis/DHL courier - so ya gotta put some address whilst at the IV Unit in Montreal, on interview day, if'n you want the visa packet delivered somewhere in Canada. Oh wait - even that delivery thingie is online, so the address is captured online at some other webportal.

IMO, you have some time to decide which address will be the visa packet delivery address - just make sure your foreign spouse understands 'that address' is where the visa packet will arrive, and plan accordingly.

I think loomis only delivers in Canada because you need the visa to get across the border.
