Just coz it is on the shelf and has a price tag does not mean they hand the item to anyone who would ask for it.

Example most jewelry stores would not just hand you the most expensive set they have in showcase, just coz you ask to see it.

Again the salesperson might just have told her the purse is too expensive and they do not let customer handle it and Oprah might just have thought she said no coz she was black.
