When you have to send in more evidence, does this change your original date?

(We sent our petition in August and our evidence was received in November... is our application date August or November?)

09/30/2006 RFE - beneficiary's birth certificate

11/16/2006 RFE sent to CSC

11/28/2006 Touched

12/06/2006 NOA2 via email

12/08/2006 Touched

12/11/2006 NVC send petition to US Consulate in New Zealand!

12/14/2006 Consulate receives petition

12/18/2006 Consulate send Packet 3 to beneifciary

12/20/2006 Beneficiary receives Packet 3

12/20/2006 Packet 3 sent back to Consulate

Your NOA1 date or case number does not change when you respond to an RFE. It does however take them a few days or weeks to finalize after receipt of your response.

You application date remains August. But your case was on hold until they received your additional evidence. You also have to allow time for the RFE information to be entered into their system and process it.
